Malaysia Blue crawling like a snake

They are pretty aggressive compared to tiger and red worms. When distrube, they will crawl & struggle like a snake.

I just got to know that this worm is also know as Perionyx excavatus

Great Vid. Mine act that way all the time. I've got PEs and you can harvest the compost quickly. Make about 4 piles and by the time you're done with the first, the PEs have cleared the top layer of the previous piles. I hear it takes a lot longer with the reds and that you have to put a light over them. Energetic is a good word for them. Robert, some say they eat more than reds. I don't have reds so can't say. I think the beauty of reds is that they tolerate low temperatures. (Not a problem in Hawaii ;-) They're also called Indian blues. I think if you get anything with a 'blue' attached to the name, it will be PE. Many on the mainland think of them as pests. Not I!

That is a HUGE PE! I does look a little like a snake, creepy, but I love it.

Whoah - that's a BIG Blue! I'm a total worm fanatic, but for whatever reason PE's just creep me out. Seeing this video definitely reminds me why! LOL
