The abstract is interesting; I have no need for the whole dissertation.

In a year with this high protein mix the worm population could have increased exponentially. That is if the highly water based home didn't interfere with mating or wash away the cocoons and infant worms.

Also, another experiment might include biochar in the worm bedding. This might show an even higher reduction of faecal material.

I am in Virginia in the mid-Atlantic region of the USA.

We are looking at using biochar in the drainage medium now.... I have read interesting stuff on biochar and zeolite. My conference paper includes data from our field trials of families using the toilet in India - it has all be very positive.
