Capturing small quantities of worms

Hello friends! I just stumbled across a way to capture a handful of worms at a time from my bin. If you have any avocados that are past human consumption stage, cut them in half, remove the pit if you like, then put the open half on top of your VC in the bin. After a few weeks, the eaten flesh of the avocado will be replaced with worms. I have a small fluorescent light above my bin to deter escapees. I rarely put in new bedding, I just cover their food with moistened corrugated craft paper that some places use for padding in shipments. The worms and other critters in there will eventually eat the broken down paper. I bought a 150 foot roll from Amazon for $25.
