The Earth Moved: On the Remarkable Achievements of Earthworms
last week and it just arrived in the mail a couple hours ago and I had to start reading it right away. I've gotten through the first couple chapters and am really enjoying it. Actually I wanted to thank the person who mentioned it on vermicomposters.com but I couldn't find the post that mentioned this book... I'm liking this so far more than Dirt: The Ecstatic Skin of the Earth... although that might have something to do with the fact that Earth Moved is focused on earthworms themselves.
PS, while looking up the amazon link for this book I stumbled on this
Google Books version of The Earth Moved which seems to have the entire text of the book available for free! How do they do that? I wish I'd seen this before I bought it (although I do prefer to read books "in person" rather than off the computer screen). In any case, if anyone wants to check it out looks like you can for free.
Update Oh i just noticed that p68-150 is not available through Google books... in any case you can get a really good sample of what the book is like.
