My raised garden beds turn into outside worm beds. In the spring I till in horse manure and fresh vermicompost. There are eggs and small worms in the fresh vermicompost. The bed is kept mulched with 1-2 inches of composted horse manure.…

ContinueYesterday I pulled out at least 50 cocoons to set up a separate cocoon bin. I'm going to raise the temperature to persuasively encourage the cocoons to hatch and not hibernate. It's too cold here to get more shipped in so I'm going to make my own. I feel empowered! LOL
