About Me:
I am in south central missouri trying to get an organic farm up and running in cow country. I am looking for the closest place to find bulk peat moss to buy and will use it to feed the worms and condition the soil on my 80 acres. I do not have a website yet, but the name of the farm is Nude Food Farms LLC

bulk peat moss in the U.S.

Would appreciate any info on any company that sells organic peat moss in ton totes or the like. The only thing I have found so far is on the alibaba site. All of that is from other countries and I don't trust the moss to be certified organic from other countries except Canada.

I would like the moss for worm castings and also to help build a better soil on my organic farm. I am going to get it certified this year hopefully. I have had the farm almost 3 years…

Hi Sheryl,

We have alot in common regarding moving across the country!  I, too, have lived from west to east coasts, north to south.  Finally, settled down in North Central Missouri.  I live by a 1050 acre lake called Lake Thunderhead, in Unionville, MO.

Recently built a log cabin in the woods, at the lake.  With so many leaves in the fall, started research, which led me to Vermicomposting.

Actually grew up in Cape Town, South Africa....thus along way from home!

I always have heard so many things about the unrest in Africa that I would be afraid to even visit. maybe you could tell me more about your life there. I find that facinating. I would also like to post my pic from facebook. Would you happen to know how to copy it and bring here? North Central may not be the Ozarks, but it still has all the beautiful trees and water. I was born in Minnesota and grew up in S. California. How old were you when you came to the States? Sounds like a very cool journey you have had.
