I agree with Utah Fat Worms. I used to work at a place that had camels and we fed them the same as the horses. I would think that poop is poop.As long as it is made from hay.

How were you introduced to vermicomposting?

i was going to the local economic developement center and we visted the greenhouse next door and i saw this women with a worm farm and she said that they convert kitchen scraps into nutrient rich castings sow next week i hopped on line and orderd 2,000 worms and a worm factory and here i am.

What do your worms like to eat?

manure organic top soil gerbil food soked in water for a few days coffee grounds rotten peaches yeast corn meal moldy bread

What kinds of worms do you have?

red wigglers and pot worms and euoros,african nightcrawlers

What worm bins do you use?

worm factory a plastic bin

How many pounds of garbage do your worms recycle each week?

i have never herd of any body feed is it because it is scares is it because its bad for worms?

how to vermicompost with humanure on a small scail

take a 1 foot by 6'' and 8'' high plastic bin and drill some holes on the sides and bottomes then take some human poop 8 monthes old or older then take some peat moss hay and paper and/or cardboard and mix it with the humanure make sure the contents of the bin are as wet as a rung out spunge then add 100 redwigglers (eseina fetida) to the mixture and your all set. after 3 months harvest the castings and use it on your ortimentals or if your not afraid of it use it on your edible crop

bison manure as worm food/bedding

where i live there are lots of bison and they produce lots of sh*t and my moms boyfriend has a house on a bufflo ranch and i went up there and gatherd a hole plastic tub full of bufflo sh*t and could have filled up a few more tube full but i didn't have any more tubs you dont here of many people feeding there worms buffalo sh*t because not much people live where there are buffalo are but im pretty sure that its okay because it's very simalar to cow and and horse manure and the worms love it so l… Continue
