Welcome to the forum, Elizabeth. I don't have any experience with cow manure, but I've read that it needs to be pre-composted for the worms. It may have something to do with high urine/urea content, so only drying it out doesn't really help. However, once it is aged nicely, the worms should love it.

I don't have the link, but I once saw a video on Youtube that showed how a commercial worm farmer got manure from a large cattle operation. I think it was a dairy farm and they had some sort of mechanism to remove most of the urine before passing the manure on to the worm farmer.
