Richard, sounds like you have much to be thankful for. Although a compost thermometer is certainly a good business investment for what you plan, it sounds like the worms like it fine just the way you have it set up now. Best of luck on your future...

Way to go Richard! You have the worms' favourite food right there. Unfortunately you will have to stand in the cold whenever you want to "play" with them, LOL. Good luck with your new business.

my mom has friends at the nearest air force base's stable, so i have been all but begging her to ask if i can have some on a regular basis.i just started vermicomposting this september for my science fair project and after i decided 'what the heck' and set up a "true" bin for my worms. i just ordered another 2 pounds to help as we have plenty of waste. the hard part will be to convince my parents to put all the waste in there, and to let me get a bokashi bin for the meats and dairy.(:(:

I'll have to work on getting you that cigar. Hope you like Drew Estate cigars as that's about all I smoke. Trouble is, I don't do Az in the summer. I have sisters in Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert. Looks like your quite a bit South of there.
