They offer a replacement tray, but he cost is crazy expensive ($45), as compared to buying a new one ($105). You might try calling the folks at Happy D Ranch (…
Your best bet is too let it age and dry out a bit - I usually stash mine in a ventilated 5 gal. bucket for a while to let the excess moisture evaporate. I agree with bpearcy10 that you'll probably get quite a few baby worms coming out of it, One way…
I would harvest the castings and dump the worms back into the bin. When you think about it, you'll realize that the layer on the weed barrier is pure castings, since the worms 'carried' and/or created it right there.
Did the Gusanito system recomme…
As long as there are plenty of holes in the bottom of the top bin (something like 25 to 50% coverage, i.e., one 1/4" hole every 1/2" to 1"), and there is good solid contact between the two bins, the worms will eventually get into the upper bin. It w…
I'd say, "it depends...." Basically you're looking to put the most processed material in the lowest bins of the stackables. Depending on how big the rubbermaids are in comparison to the stackable trays, and how processed the material is in the vario…
How many pounds of garbage do your worms recycle each week?
10 - 15 lbs

It's not math you love, it's exponential increase! Mindy's only selling a few because she only got a few to begin with and she's working on her own exponential growth. I may decide to get some. Right now I've got 4 bins of EFs and I already killed an ounce of EFs I bought from her earlier. (The bin was too small, part dried out and part got anaerobic.) Thanks for the answer.
I dropped out of this forum because I was so busy for > 6 months. Now I'm checking it. I'll drop out again when I need to.
Are you really using EFs? Mindy is selling them for $10 an ounce and only 1 ounce at a time. I'm not willing to pay at the rate of $160/lb! I'm guessing you can't send them interisland, but I thought I'd ask.
Watch the video 'Malaysia Blue crawling like a snake' and I think it will be obvious if you have EFs, PEs or both. If you're too busy to deal with my questions now, don't worry. I'm not in any hurry. (You can't be with worms!)
Wow, I didn't even check back for a response. Sorry it's been forever since you answered me. I'm glad Kauai has a local expert. I got my worms and information from waikikiworm.com. Mindy Jaffee. I got an email saying she now has EFs as well as the PEs she's been working with for ever. My PEs are happily eating through everything I have given them. I hope things are still going well for you and that you've managed to breed and sell lots. Susan.

Hi Ned. I haven't been active on this forum for a long time. I've gotten past the stage where I'm wanting to check on the kids every day. Next week it will be a year. Mindy got me started at a seminar. I've got one tub and one flow through and the flow through is working a LOT better than the tub. I have PEs. Mindy has just recently gotten some EFs and is starting to sell them. I got a pack of about 20 and managed to kill them with cantelope that was a lot wetter than I had thought. Sigh. I'm feeding the kids weekly and forgot to check the really small system and it went anaerobic. If you know anyone on Oahu that has questions or wants to see how it works, I'm happy to help. Happy farming (and playing). Susan.
