I'm sure leachate is the type of thing that's often fine, but can be deadly. I put my few tablespoons of leachate directly in my potted tomato plant far away from the base of the plant (which was really off center), without diluting it and didn't no…

I had leachate at one time not long after set-up and I used it on my indoor plants diluted 10X. My Bird of Paradise produced new leaves not long after that. I'm not sure if the new leaves were on their way anyway or energized by the leacate. Haven't…

I wonder what the acidity of leachate is. I mean it will fluctuate from bin to bin depending on what is fed.. but just curious. I am also curious what the nitrogen levels are in it. I use rubbermaid bins with no drainage holes... only ventiliation…

About Me:
I'm a displaced automotive industry worker from the state of Michigan, for the vendor side. I used to make/build the tooling or rather the assembly lines the cars and trucks are built on. 20 Yrs exp. And behind that I have 5 Yrs in the Carbide industry and 10 Yrs in the USMC (Semper Fi Brothers), the air wing side...swing with the wing. :-}] And Ive been wanting to start a worm business for so very long now...gonna start it REAL slow and let it grow. Hey Kurt,
Thanks for stopping by. Were you looking for part II of the Peter Bogdanov interview? The link you provided is actually the archive for all blog posts from last January (so technically multiple articles).
Anyway, I glad you've stumbled upon the wonderful world of worms! You'll be an addict like the rest of us in no time! ;-)
