Small worms

I have a 13 foot square bin started with euros. Bin actually gets feed apx. 10 gallons of hm cardboard coffee grinds and misc.. Last fishing season I was getting nice worms for fishing now not able to find anything as big as a red wiggler.  Any Ideas on why their size would be so small.See More

"You line the bottom with cardboard or lots of newspaper when you start it up. It is surprising that it does stay in. Lots of people actually complain they have trouble getting the castings out at harvest time."

"There are quite a few members who have built their own FT's with very good success...! But things tend to move very slowly obviously it all depends on the seize of the "herd"...!  "

" It was a design I just thought up from looking over the internet. It is 5-1/2 feet - 2-1/2 feet - 24 deep . Did not build this one with a harvesting blade.  I have electrical conduit across the narrow width every 2 inches."

"  I would go with one inch. You can run it through more than once. It usually takes a year or longer unless you have a really large population of worms to start with."
