"If you add all 8lbs its still going to take a year to get to 1lb per square foot. Your good with 8lbs at this time. I wouldn't go any less if you want it full this time next year. Just make sure to have lots of feed stock on hand."

"I agree with Mathew. Your weight is close but a lot of variables that can't be answered. As a general contractor and someone that designs and builds his own bins and equipt used. DON'T try to save money on the Casters."

Africans started with 500 & Red wigglers started with 2000
What worm bins do you use?
wooden self built 2' x 8' x 12" box for the ANC's, and 4' x 2" x 12" box for reds NEW 8' x 3' x 32" Flow threw with auto cutter bar, 24-small concrete mixing tubs, 9- large concrete mixing tubs. Adding 24 small tubs by June 21, 2013
How many pounds of garbage do your worms recycle each week?
looks like my guys are at about 20lbs now. we recycle hourse manure at approx 100lbs a week + 3 residential kitchen scraps and 50lbs UCG.
