Bentley just posted something that you might want to read. He cautions use of fresh manure in enclosed bins. Details are on pg. 14 of his pdf manual for the tongue-in-cheek "Bait-O-Matic":

Sounds good. If possible, ask the local supplier for some of the bedding/compost the worms were raised in. The local source I bought a pound from gave me a few gallons of compost along with the worms. That made it easier for the worms to transition…
Congrats on the find, Jessica! What kind of bin are you setting up? Keep us posted on how the rabbit poop works. Are you going to use just the poop or the bedding also?
Found a local supplier of cheap worms! Woot!
I'll be gathering supplies Monday morning and getting them in the afternoon! Just starting off with a pound for now.
My family used to have a compost pile when I was younger and there were usually an abundance of worms in it.
About Me:
My name is Jessica, I'm 22, Army wife and about to be a mom. My husband is stationed at Fort Bliss, which is in El Paso, TX, but is currently deployed, so I'm in Modesto, CA with my family.
I love gardening. I love growing herbs, especially mint!
I have an English angora rabbit whose fur I plan to spin and whose poop I plan to use for vermicomposting.
I plan to start vermicomposting in October a little after my baby is born.
