Glenn Wilson replied to Ben's discussion Why do my worms do this?
"I soak my cardboard for about 24 hours in lots of water, then put it in the bin.  It should stay moist for a while After that I add wet manure. If it gets to wet the water will come out of the bottom so I don't worry about it."

I have ????'s on red worms. Thanks Glenn

I am confused, I was transferring worms and changing bedding. I have a combination of Red Wigglers and 15% of European Night Crawlers. I am coming up with a red worm that has a beautiful blue color on part of its body.  I have gotten worms from 5 sources over the last year, but I am confused, maybe that's why I only have small explosions of worms instead of a massive worm population.

Worm Tea

Can worm tea be made from the leachate or the worm castings? It would seem that the end batch would be about the same. Just looking for advice on this. Would they contain the same beneficial bacteria? I would think that the process of adding sugar, air and water would do the same thing in the end.

I am not sure. I would ask on the main forums, there are folks there who are very knowledgeable, and can steer you right.
