About Me:
I went to Epcot for the flower & garden show and they had a class about composting and the lady talked about worm composting and showed us a few things. Well I went home and told my husband I needed some worms and I needed him to drill some holes in my plastic bins. My daughter ordered me some red worms and well it's been almost 3 weeks now. I want the worm tea for my orchids.

IF YOUR HAVING A PROBME WITH GNATS

DRYER SHEETS JUST HANG THEM AROUND YOUR BIN. NOT INSIDE YOUR BIN BUT AROUND IT. THEY DON'T LIKE THE SMELL.

SAD NEWS

ALL OF MY RED WORMS ARE DEAD OR GONE. I HAVE DUG ALL AROUND IN MY BIN AND NOTHING NOT ONE RED WORM. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I THINK I SHOULD CLEAN OUT THE BIN AND WASH IT OUT GOOD AND START WITH FRESH BEDDING. THEN ORDER MORE WORMS I GUESS. MY WORMS WERE CLIMBING OUT AND THEY WERE STICKY. DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. I ADDED SOME PEAT MOSS A FEW WEEKS BEFORE THIS STARTED. HAS ANYONE HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS?

Hi,
I have found that root vegatables like carrots, potato, ETC take loger to break down. When I come across those food stuffs, I put them in the mini chopper first.
