folks that work with Lumbricus rubellus

a red composting worm, that at times has been called red wrigglers, red wigglers. depending on what source you use the physical discriptions vary considerably. this worm is more tolerant of it's surroundings and hardier then the EF's. it works both the soil and the compost making it an ideal worm for outdoor bins and gardens. it is often confused with EF's. it is found in many parts of the world.those i have are twice the size of EF's.See More

Workshops are good if provided by the local govs, because they sometimes will give you worms and a tote to house them in. Here in the San Francisco Bar are they hold those regularly. I attended one recently to hear their preaentation. It was quite good, well presented, very basic information.
Iy you can not attend one, actually the information is more complete with the photos and videos and forums on this site. There are hours and hours of basic info on "you tube". Welcome to our forum.
