Dan's Worm Bin

"Dan, how many lbs. did you start the bin with. How long has it been till you made the video? I have a similar bin but the worm population is way far from what I see in yours and it has been running for several years now."

"Good you have a tester. But it looks like your vermicompost pH is already too low. Should be between 6.5 and 8 typically.  Do you have the two powders you dissolve in water to calibrate your tester?"

Danner replied to Rick's discussion A quick flow through bin question
""Arching" or "bridging" is fairly common on narrow flow throughs. I just bought an 18" icing spatula to run along the sides as described by Daniel - I'll let you know how it works next time. In the past, I would just…"

Danner replied to Lance Waedemon's discussion Using the blender for making worm chow
"If you look online for "worm chow", you'll find some products for sale and maybe a few recipes.  These are dry, gritty-like worm feeds, as opposed to wet pureed kitchen scraps.  Some people keep their recipes secret, but…"

Danner replied to Nemesis099's discussion Is this forum dead??
"I'm hoping that the winter in North America will bring some of us back to this site. I've kept my flow through going strong all year, and this fall started serious precomposting.  I read the James Bates string on the subject, and that…"
