How were you introduced to vermicomposting?
through a friend at work, and encouraged by the discounted bins offered through the County Waste Management composting program
What do your worms like to eat?
veggie remains, banana peels, melon rinds, very ripe MANGOES!
What kinds of worms do you have?
red wrigglers
What worm bins do you use?
the wriggly wranch
How many pounds of garbage do your worms recycle each week?
about 2 lbs (but more in the summer)

Hey.. welcome! It is cool that a fellow Oakland resident is on the map now. I was hoping that eventually the map would get populated enough that people would find that people geographically near them also compost with worms.

I've been trying out Eatwell CSA since a couple people I know highly recommended their eggs. My wife and I are only doing a box every other week and since we didn't cook that much before the CSA boxes... are still have a little trouble keeping up with it. It is fun being introduced to new kinds of produce though.
