Way to go Mark! ;-)
Teasing aside, I am definitely looking forward to Mark's contribution! Good to get some new blood, instead of boring ol' me all the time. :-)
Lots of interesting stuff in this thread...
Let's start with with site...
I've had a decent number of email exchanges with Mike (hopefully he won't mind me revisiting some of it here) and I agree with what a number of you have said re: it being ...
Just popped by and happened to catch this thread!
Catherine has me beat - I am now closing in on a decade, but it was technically early in 2000 when a co-worker (at the enviro consulting firm where I was working at the time) sent me home with a bu...
How many pounds of garbage do your worms recycle each week?
previously 5 lbs or so - then 100's of lbs from local restaurant - now back to mere mortal status (likely 5-10 lbs). I use a lot of aged manure as well
hey do you or anyone on here know of the best way to grow lots of your own worms to sell instead of buying them from other places? Anyone know of any Good worm incubator kits?
Hey Bentley, Love your site. I tried to comment here but got a spam block message. http://www.redwormcomposting.com/gardening/gardening-with-red-worms-additional-thoughts/
Anyway, this is my comment:
So it seems from what I have read that wet enough for worms is too wet for the garden. And there is really no way to reconcile the two. I wanted to go with raised beds and EFs because in North Carolina I felt the worms would survive the mild winters. I will still use the vermicompost in the garden, but keep the worms inside.
please don't laugh, but is there any way to make a compose bin and work on it with out toching the worm ?
i just don't like them or the way they look, sorry worm lovers
Hi everyone - apologies for the fact that I haven't been more responsive. I'm having a hard time keeping up with comments/emails from my own site, and am even worse when it comes to neglecting this great site.
Please DO send me an email: bentley@redwormcomposting.com if you have any questions etc. I can be a little slow to respond, but definitely faster than here. haha :-)
