Vermicomposting, worm bin, composting with worms community and forums

March 2012 - My biggest challenge is getting them to more down to the freshly prepared bottom bins. Some have made the move, but many more simply stay put. I've removed the lids and stir the worms and their castings around every couple of days to inspire them to search for the more peaceful bottom bins.

I found the same problem. They just don't like to migrate when they've already got a happy place, no matter how welcoming the new bedding/food source is. To be fair, I don't like to leave my couch once I have things all cozy and warm...
