Vermicomposting, worm bin, composting with worms community and forums

I've been thinking about trying to feed my worms some corn cobs ever since I read the posts about corn cobs in the popular and distasteful food thread. Sounded like they take a while to break down so I decided to try this experiment and dice the husk and cob up with a knife to see if it sped things up. This is my first time feeding corn cobs to my worms... we'll see how it goes

I bought a cheap($20.00) blender @ Lowes. I put corn cobs in there and chop them up before I put them in the bin.

I'm putting my cobs and husks, stalks etc. in the hot compost pile.
