Vermicomposting, worm bin, composting with worms community and forums

These I'm pretty sure are earthworm "cocoons" which makes me happy.

From what I can see yes, those are fresh cocoons. As they mature they will turn darker until they are ready to hatch. Once they hatch they are tranlucent and you can see inside that the cocoon is empty.

The weather is getting really warm these past couple days (actually down right hot... over 90). Does warm weather encourage cocoons?

If the bin is drying out, they will lay cocoons so their species can survive. But that doesn't seem like a dry bin.
