I will be adding my 4th in the next week or two. When that one is almost worked thru I will harvest the 3 trays and start over. I have noticed that once the system is in full swing you can feed more into the WF then when you first started out.
funny you talked about the 360. I dumped out 3 trays in a RM today just about filled it. The little wigglers dont really stay at the top,so it looks like it will be a dump and sort job.But there is tons of some lovily VC. Should be nice to see if the worm numbers increased. This 360 they mostly ate veggies and it did take along time to fill,my other one has been feed only leaves and horse manure 4lbs a month and it has only been up and running for 4 months. Going to be interesting to compare the weights and measures.
Good to see you back Paula its not the same around here without you.
Good to know. thanks for posting that. I have 6 trays on my manure feed 360 and need to harvest it.This way is going to save hours of dump and sort.
Comment by Alan Robinson on February 20, 2012 at 3:26pm Hi everyone I've had my WF 360 I started it 2/10/2012. I got some free worm (red wiglers) then he said there was about 300-400 I've done some digging around and maybe found 30-40. So I orderd 2 lbs of worms I have food still on the top so 1lbs of worms should clean that up soon. The worms should be here by Friday.
Should I start a 2nd tray or get a 10 gal container and start a new bin and see what works best the 360 or a home made bin ?
My suggestion would be to try to have patience, I know that is hard with a new set up. My experience is that the numbers appear to go down in the beginning and the worms don't eat that much because it is a new environment. They say that the worms actually eat the microbes rather then the food and it takes a while for the microbes to develop. It won't hurt to start a second tray, you can have food aging there and if the worms are interested, they'll move up to it.

Comment by Wayne F on May 14, 2012 at 7:03pm Hi y'all (hey Brenda),
I'm friend and webmaster to Robert Crofton-Sleigh (http://vermicomposters.ning.com/profile/Robertthegreat). I suggested to him that this forum might be just the right place to be, since his work is vermicomposting and his lifestyle is all about eco-responsibility. (The free-range-hen houses in his backyard, and organic garden are a couple of examples. Galleries here: http://www.worm-composting.ca/about-us/our-vermiculture/here-on-our....)
No disappointments here - this is a remarkable group. Delighted to hear you're using a W.F. 360, if you're looking for advice Robert might be your man. He's not quite as gregarious as his webmaster - so feel free to drop in on his page and say Hi.
