I am an admoinstrator at a community college in Milwaukee WI. I have been offering presentations to k-12. I bring both red wigglers and European Night Crawlers. I have three baggies, 1) normal compost, Food waste not composted and vermi compost. I ask them to determine whihc is which by tourch and odor. I also let the class seperate a baggie on vermi compost for the worms and give it to the teacher to use to make compost tea for plants in the class. A

If there is anyone who would like to have instructions on how to create the soda bottle worm farms I have burned a CD of the power point my students created. It is a huge file and my school computer will not let me down load it. So I would be willing to mail you a copy of it. I just need addresses. Jeanette

Hello all! I own a childcare center and preschool and I am an avid recycler. In May I started with my 1st worm bin and have been enjoying this hobby and sharing information with anyone who will listen. This summer we have over 15 school age children and next week they are doing a unit on recycling. I plan to share my wormies and some knowledge. Since I am an educator at heart (with the degree 2 ) I hope to start sharing with the community and with local school classrooms. Thank you everyone for sharing what you know about your wormies! I did once an introduction at our local kindergarden, now I'm scheduled as the "Worm Dad" for another project. I'm currently doing a scientific approach with Charlie at our University for applied sciences.
