We are also hoping to start up a worm farm in Addis Ababa to help progress projects in Ethiopia, we know of several Agricultural Insititutes who are working with worms, it would be great if  we could start some new projects with urban organic waste or coffee waste!

Hi Claire I am very impressed with the projects you are all undertaking over there, it is a massive and worthy project.

Is there a lot of interest in vermicomposting in Africa? I am very interested in what is happening in the worm world and recycling on different continents.

Hi Christopher, I have found a few small projects in East Africa, universities and NGO's seem to be most interested. I am now working in Uganda, I mainly look for worm supplies for my main project which is worm based sanitation.

Hi Claire hoping you are well, is vermicomposting and recycling increasing in in your parts of Africa and in Africa generally.

I believe that the climate here on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia is interfering with worm breeding in the summer, at least in my boxes although they are partly exposed to the sun, they still did breed in summer, but less now.

Hi Christopher, I am looking to find worm framers in Rwanda, in my experience it is mainly small scale worm farming except in SA. I have just put up my first paper. I am off to a conference in Dec so will post that paper once it is published. C
