Yes, you can safely compost dog waste with worms.  There are a few things you should know first.

1)  Do not combine food scraps with dog waste, you must have a separate setup.  The only things that should go in your dog waste system are dog waste and brown stuff (newspaper, cardboard, dry grass clippings, etc).

2)  Never put the VC on plants with edible parts.  It's great for flowers, bushes, trees, as long as you don't eat any part of the plant.

3)  I always wear gloves through the entire process, you never know when you will run into some uncomposted poop.

I have a dog waste worm bin in my back yard.  Dug it into the ground under an evergreen tree.  I used an ice cream bucket with lots of holes drilled on all sides. I figure if there is a food source, they will come back.  It was pretty full at the end of summer (2 small dogs) so I'm anxious to see if they will have made it through the winter.  I piled bags of leaves over the area to help keep it warm.

We'll see!

I wanted to try to compos the dog waste in the ground but our water table is too high.  So, I put together a bin system and it is working very well, our trees and bushes never looked better than they do now since I've been adding the vc to their soil.  I'm still trying to figure out how many bins I will need for all my dogs, or maybe I'll have to go to a ft system.

The ice cream bucket is too small for my 2 little dogs (15 lb dogs) so I will be making mine bigger this Spring.

Always wondered if dog waste was an option for the worms! This is fantastic news. I will try it! Thanks. Looking forward to more tips as we progress. :D
