Vermicomposting, worm bin, composting with worms community and forums
I'm been vermicomposting for about 17 years now and have NEVER seen this species before. It was just there one day in my bin.
Initially, I thought it was some kinda EF, EA, or EH. After extensive googleing, research at unversity web site and a thorough review of all the academic literature I could find, I determined it wasn't EA, EF, or EH. It may not even be a composting worm. Dunno. I am at my wit's end. Please help me to identify this species.
If I had such a species, I'd never open the bin without personal protection. Very serious stuff, this is.
Ah yes. The Lesser Eared Egg Head worm. A common but rarely observed species in the wild. Unlike it's EH and EF cousins, this worm does very well in boiled water, and tastes great with a pinch of salt and pepper and a knob of butter.
I don't think she's smiling, Larry. It's that "whazzup with all the paper products? FEED ME!" look.
Damn it !!!
You got me !!!
thx for the laugh.
Too funny! It looks a little dry. Maybe add some water? OMG! I am going to be thinking about that all day now! lol.
