vermicomposters.com

Vermicomposting, worm bin, composting with worms community and forums

I got a copy of the latest redwormcomposting.com newsletter today from out favourite worm blogger Bentley, a member here and a valuable resource to many of us. (I've never spoken to him personally but I know his site was a huge help when I was starting my bin and I continue to check it several times a week, always enjoying his updates and general enthusiasm. I'm sure that I am one of many that have silently appreciated him and his work, so on behalf of us all thank you Bentley.) He gave this site a mention and I couldn't agree with it more.

He said he is "blown away by how quickly it has grown and developed into a first rate vermicomposting site - without a doubt, one of the best online." and he's right. I try to visit as many VC sites and forums as I can and this one has shot up to the #1 spot for me very quickly by virtue of its friendliness, activity and features.

So keep up the good work, folks.

Absolutely correct. The two vermicomposting sites that are on the top of my "too check" list are this one and redwormcomposting.com. I've recently started reading Bently's Compost Guy site as well.

The other site I like to check is Lilliworm: Adventures with Worms. But, I tend to think of vermicomposters.com as my "home" site. I go to RedWormComposting and Lilliworm to see how thigns are going and to get some info, but this is where I come to publish, chat, research.

I found vermicomposters.com by following the link from redwormcomposting. I check redworm, compost guy and vermicomposters every day. Sometimes twice a day.

I must say a post on vermicomposters always gives me a thrill when i realise that the poster is from another part of the world. I just love reading all the different ways people come up with to solve their worm sized hurtles. I always check for updates on everyone's worm stories. And find myself worrying about things like jyaki's deformed worms.

I go to the other forums for dry information, i come to vermicomposters because it is a joy to read.

Whoah - Thanks guys. I am totally humbled. I saw my name in the title and the fact that I was "right" about something - neither of which happen too often! LoL
As for my take on Vermicomposters...I meant what I said, and I said what I meant...an elephant's faithful 100 percent. Sorry - I was possessed by Dr. Seuss there for a minute.

Seriously though - this is the fastest growing vermicomposting site online, I'm sure of it. Worm Digest forum has always impressed me with the quality of information, but to be totally honest, it just doesn't hold a candle to vermicomposters in terms of friendliness and enthusiasm.

Eve - you still read "Compost Guy"??? lol
That one has been on vacation for awhile (definitely will be back in action there in the New Year though).

Anyway - thanks again everyone. Much appreciated! And thanks once again to Steven for helping more people to find out about my site!

I check four different vermicomposting sites and enjoy them all. This site is becoming my go to site. I also I use Bently's Blog for all of his frequent great ideas. I have been making a variation of Bently's manure soup in a blender that I picked up at the Salvation Army.

Bentley's been a great help not only in my vermicomposting efforts but in helping to get the word out about vermicomposters.com... It is cool to see someone who is so passionate about vermicomposting, not only is his blog is a great resource for anyine interested in vermicomposting but I'm sure he's inspiring lots of new folks to try it out. If you're reading this and haven't checked out Bentley's blog... you need to... redwormcomposting.com. Thanks again Bentley.

Bentley's site is a gem, plus he is always quick to reply and respond which is an added bonus because of his experience and knowledge. I have had plenty of questions and observations while worming... This site and his are my faves.

Thanks to Carl for the shout out :)
